This Year I Vow To…
Shared by An Over-thinker Secret Romantic.
Its upon us, the new year; a time for do-overs and new beginnings, a time for resolutions and new goals, a time for change.
Now I’m generally not one to write a list of New Year’s resolutions, however after several experiences and lessons learned this year I felt the desire to come up with one, and more than resolutions this is a list of vows; a list of promises to myself that I can always look at whenever times get rough in order to remind myself to always keep on going, and here it goes:
“I vow to wake up every morning being thankful for all that I have obtained and achieved so far in life.
I vow to have a more positive perspective in life and always look for the good side of things.
I vow to reduce the amount of times I say things such as ” I don’t have time” or “I can’t…”
I vow to stop over thinking and overanalyzing every little thing that happens around me and instead let things be.
I vow to live more in the moment rather than mentally plan 10 years ahead.
I vow to never again go to bed at night feeling angry or holding a grudge, we never know if we will have a tomorrow to fix things.
I vow to make time for those that make time for me rather than try to split myself between every single person I know.
I vow to make myself the priority no matter what and to not feel bad for doing so.
Last but not least I vow to be happy and smile, and at the end of everyday, regardless of how rough or stressful it was, I vow to find at least one good thing that made such day worth it.”
And now I ask you, what do you vow to do in 2015?
