Heartbeat: Isn’t It Ironic?
Shared by DirtyAri.
“It’s like rain on your wedding day. It’s a free ride when you’ve already paid. It’s the good advice that you just didn’t take. And who would’ve thought? It figures.”
Hi! I’ve been thinking about sharing this little predicament I find myself in for the past two days and only now did I come to a decision to just… do it.
See, this really, really nice guy has recently started courting me. He’s good looking, I guess, but I don’t feel attracted to him at all.
Problem is, he seems sweet and honest (and really, how many guys can you say that about?) but no matter how hard I try to like him because of those qualities, when I’m with him – I am completely and utterly bored.
It’s been weeks and I thought, maybe with time that attraction will spark to life but so far, there’s nada. He always says sweet things to me and tels me he loves me (he’s known me for little over two weeks so I told him to stop telling me things he thinks girls want to hear and be himsef) but honestly, I feel like we’ll never have a ‘real’ relationship ’cause he’s just always so ON.
You know? He’s always saying sweet, Hallmark type things but we never talk about our days, school, work or whatever. In the end, they’re just meaningless words to me.
Isn’t it ironic? The men we vow never to fall in love with are the ones who make us crazy with longing and now this perfect guy (who we all dream of meeting at some point in our lives) comes along and you feel nothing for him. At all.
Do you think I should say ‘yes’ to a relationship with him anyway and have a totally honest (I’d bet my teeth he’s super loyal) and tame partnership that will last maybe, for the rest of our lives or say ‘no’ and try to find that guy who’s not a living breathing Prince Charming, and who I’m passionate about and would care enough about me to stay loyal forever, anyway?
